Just encountered the same issue: could get key in, but couldn't turn even to ACC...had been getting worse over couple of months to the point I could no longer turn car over. Had errand to run, but was stuck.

Took out lock assembly (only need to take dash cowl two bottom screws out and move it up out of way, then take five screws out from steering column cover) and douched the heck out of it with WD40. I prefer Tri-Flo for locks, but only had WD40. Let sit for five minutes then slowly was able to get ket to turn all positions. Resprayed for good measure, reinstalled and works fine. In short, little lube goes long way.
