I have that draging feeling went i got to push the gaz more to go up hill or take some speed. It seems to be unrelated to speed and no constant rythme. I change the fuel filter, but it still getting worst. Carburateur need a clean up?

if spark plugs, cap and wires are old, they tend to break down and cause misfires when under load, power drops off. Also, verify that your mechanical advance is free and working properly. if it gets corroded and will not advance you loose power at higher rpms.

Try replacing those first if any of them are old or appear compromised. A failing coil or ignite can also cut out under load, but unless there is an obivious flaw, best diagnose those so you replace the right part.

good luck

Mine will run poorly due to corrosion in the distributor cap & on the rotor including the brass contact on the rotor where the carbon contact touches it. I clean the contacts with 1000 grit sandpaper every so often.
