Do you know if...

Post by French Vince »

I am wondering if this wheels can be put on a 4WD Tercel. They're from Celica-Supra MkII.

the pattern of the bolt holes looks correct. I believe the measurement is 4 x 100mm. That is a pretty cool looking wheel. Was it only on European models ??

those rims look sweet. if the lugs line up make sure that the hole in the center where the hub goes in fits snug too. if its not that can snap off lugs.

We had those wheels in the US too. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they are a 4 x 4.5 inch (114.3 mm) bolt pattern and will not fit a Tercel. :(

Yes it can. They both have a 4Lug x 100mm pattern. The only thing different is that this wheel is a 14x7" size. It is a Double 4-Spoke Rim. Go for it. Put it on and show us your pictures of it on the Tercel. Later :D

They can be found on american models too.

I Have seen some classic celica (1970-1977) with, but never a Tercel.

I'have been confirmed taht they can't be put on a tercel because they are not in 4x100 but in 4x114.3.

Thanks for all and sorry for my miserable enghish.

Those will not fit. they are 4.5" bolt pattern.

If you are lucky to find a newer rendition of them aka mini supra's which are 13x5.5" they come in both 4x100 and 4x114.3.

Look on the back of the rim. One of the spokes will have the specs.

the 4X100 version of those wheels would look awsome on a tercel, i'm going to put them on one day.

i found a set for $200 once at a junk yard, but i didn't jump on it, wish i did though!

Obviously, French Vince, you were misinformed. See here on bolt sizes:

This might help as well:

I know the wheels will fit. I saw some MR2 wheels put on a 4wd Tercel.

If you still have doubts, please drill the sides of the holes a little more and then they shall fit right then and there. Or, if that isn't a good method, have a custom wheel manufacturer manufacture the identical copies of those Celica Supra MKII wheels but in a 4x100mm bolt pattern.

And pray, terceldude, what would the casual fabrication of custom wheels cost?
Possibly more than a Tercel is worth - do you think?
Perchance really ovalizing the holes will help in fitting? *

The most common Supra/Celica wheels are 4 x 114.3mm and will NOT fit on the Tercel. (As was mentioned above by 20Valve and a couple others).

Also don't even think about drilling out ovalising the wheels to fit your car as that would weaken them and very well break as you are driving and you would die.
Best to have a look at some MR2 wheels to put on your Tercel.

Wow, thats sad.
I cross-set a Cressida's rims on a MKII Celi-Su and they fit. I then proceeded to BUY the Cressida rims, having been told the Cel-Su's would fit, and therefore the Cress's would fit. I jacked the car up, removed the steelies, and... COULD NOT GET THE CRESS's ON! They would not fit! 4.5" spec, not the 100x4!
So DO NOT believe that they will.
And I'm supposing you did the same thing as me Vince. As such, we have from experience the fact that they won't fit.
Turning the holes into ovals? Wow.. That is a VERY stupid thought. Look man, you can't expect to put an exaggeration of a weak spot into something that sees thousands of pounds of down, sideways, diagonal, and rotational force.

I'm not trying to insult you man, but that really was not well thought-out.
