Intermittent Valve Noise
I adjusted my valves about 8 thousand miles ago and I am already getting some intermittent valve noise. It's usually after a long trip after the engine cooled down. I am not too concerned. I was just wondering what would make it happen sometimes and not others. Could it be a discrepancy of warm valves and cold oil?

Re: Intermittent Valve Noise
I have noticed the same thing sometimes. it will not harm anything to have the valves out of adjustment as long as they are not too tight. noise may have something to do with oil viscosity and temperature.
I solved the problem btw, by only adjusting the valves when the engine is warm. So I only let it cool enough so I can handle the parts with gloves on. And adjust them as fast as possible to the correct "warm" setting. than no more valve chatter.
