I've had the same problem as you with the PCV bushings and having to fish the broken pieces out of the valve cover on both my Tercels. I Also had to replace the hose on one and I did exactly what you did.
One of my air filter mount is broken too and I'm about to modify a poly bush to replace it. Did you re-use the metal insert/spacer on yours?

sounds like a typical story. on an old car you never know what other things you will find, or break, along the way of doing one "simple" job.

I will soon have to change my clutch, still works but is showing signs of nearing the end of its useful life. I have everything I THINK I will need, but so much has to be removed and put back to get to that clutch, one never knows what you might need. since we are out of spare cars right now, I must get my Tercel4wd up and running in one day, or I will loose income from spending another day running around getting the unforeseen parts I know I will discover I need after I get it apart.

Abra,

Love the look of your Terc with the bigger tires and a little lift, hope to make mine more like that this Spring/Summer. I'm running 14s off my old Prizm and the speedo and odometer are pretty much accurate. Winter has drug my mpg down around 25, was getting upper 20s in better weather.

sometimes the speedo is off by that much even with stock tires. Some are right on, some are off by a lot, that is what I have found of the 10 or 12 different T4wd I have drive cross country. and I have even found that if the speedo is off, the odo might be accurate.

So you have to measure actual miles to know if the odo is off. If you use a gps, they also have a miles driven tab or setting, it works well for testing the odo independant of speed. All you need is drive for ten miles on a relatively straight highway to get an idea of the accuracy.
