All this being said, I know of someone who would buy from that seller in a heartbeat if the seller had what he needed.

Paul, is he my mother or father? That's their style. I think it's a "upper-middle-class" thing, because pretty much everyone in my family will usually take the first price you give them. Wish I had that kind of financial security.
But...did you try hitting it with a hammer?

there are different motivations for different buyers: if you are trying to buy used parts to keep a daily driver going, you look for low cost parts. If you are trying to restore an old car and want it to look "new", you will pay a lot more to get new looking parts.

'84 Tercel 4wd (daily driver, with on going mods)
'92 Mazda MPV 4wd (wife's daily driver)
'85 Tercel 4wd DLX auto(daughter's daily driver)
'01 Honda Civic (other daughter's daily driver)

How about $200 for an admittedly faded tail light - how about (well, you read them).

Granted that he states "OBO," but...
I am tempted to put in a bid of 50 cents for the unit just to see his reaction.

Interesting..He is also selling a the overhead map lights/sunroof switch assy. for the car. Are you going to bid on that as well?

WOW - only $20 for a steering wheel fixing nut! Such a deal!
I guess it costs so much because he took 5 photos of it for the ad...

Or, you could buy a cracked and faded inclinometer from him for only $299.95 (mounting bracket not included)...
However, he does have a nice one for only $399.95 - but still without the bracket!
Only $75 for a shifter knob!

Honestly - who the heck buys parts from this guy?

Shucks, I went to all the trouble of making my own battery hold-down bracket after the original rusted out, and I could have bought an original equipment item with authentic rust and peeling rubber for $99.99 and free shipping ...
