Need aftermarket Vacuum Advance *Got it figured out*

Post by TURTCEL »

Can anyone help me locate a brand and part number for a vacuum advance for my Terc? I need to order a new vacuum advance unit for my car but seem to hitting dead ends...or so I think.

I have a 1985 Terc SR5 4wd wagon with a 6 speed and federal emmisions. I have been looking everywhere I can think of to order a new advance unit but everything I seem to come across is listed for an automatic trans. The advance in my car is a dual diaphram. I can not get the OEM number unless I pull the distributor since the advance is on the bottom. If anyone knows the correct unit and brand that I should purchase for my car that info would be greatly appreciated.

I would really like to buy a new one but if the only thing available is a known good used one that any member are willing to sell that would be awesome. I am looking to order one as soon as I can. Thanks.

Peace

The EPCs in this Forum show them the same for both trannys. I just looked at only the AutoZone page and it, too, says it is for ATs; barring info to the contrary, it looks identical to one I got for Goldie; one lower port and two upper ports.
The actual Toy OEM number is 19220-15200.
I believe absolutely everything about the engine is identical for wagons and sedans, 2WD and 4WD, ATs and MTs - well, save for the hookups to the carb for the AT gizzy.

Thanks for the info Tom. I will be ordering one today.

Also, I edited my posts to show that the question was answered but I left my posts up so others could use it as good info in case they had the same concern. I only posted under the 3 topic headings because I figured I would have a better chance at getting an answer back. Kinda figure that most people check all the forum posts when new responses come up but just wanted to assure that my question was seen.

Is there another way you suggest I post so that I do not add unnecessary postings that may clog up the forums with repeated questions or did I do okay with how I posted my questions?

I bought the one from rock auto. its listed under the 87' tercel but it worked fine for my 83. all I had to do was plug the port that would normally go to the high altitude compensation. which I don't have on my car. its fairly easy to change too.
