Very interesting to me. I live only an hour away.
Would you know if the 4WD auto tranny only has the 3 gears like the 2WD. Looking to decrease my RPMs on the highway.

newplaner- Never seen an A/T SR5- maybe this is something "special" like the seller claims? Doesn't have SR5 body side mldgs- shame there are no interior pics. Would really be great if you could see it and report back. As for the tranny speeds, every A/T Tercel wagon I've ever seen was a 3 speed. If anything, the 4WD's are geared even WORSE than the FWD's.
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

I agree. Dubious about the SR5 claim. I have asked for photos from the seller.
Kinda thought that was the case regarding the auto tranny 3 speed. If I hear back from the owner, I will probably go have a look anyways.
Turns out he lives close to my daughter.

a bit high priced for the problems it has. The story that it was "built in Japan for the Japanese ambassador to Canad" sounds very dubious. first, all Tercel were built in Japan at the time, second, it seems very unlikely Japan would have their ambassador drive their entry level econobox to represent their country. (if anything they would have given him a top of the line Landcruiser). it might be possible they put the SR5 interior in it for the ambassador, if it was a true story, but you can see the seats in the picture and they are not SR5 seats, they are DLX seats. The graphics on the side are interesting, but not a reason to value it 50 percent higher than it is worth.

Yes, the owner sent me some more photos of the dash. Definitely not an SR5.
It would have been just about right for me if it were a SR5. My search continues.
