body looks decent, even without an engine, the trans is worth that much. Looks like it is worth savcing, it should have the inclinometer on the dash.

someone should save this Tercel, I would get it but I do not have the time or space to get it going, it would sit in my yard and sit for years (and my wife would not be happy about it).

I went and salvaged the transmission from this one. Also pulled some marker lenses. Two real fun Toyota guys owned the car and we just chatted while I worked.

why would they part out a good T4wd if all it needed was an engine? those are easy to find (all models of '83-86 Tercel engines are the same, and similar year corrolla engine would fit too).

Unless it was wrecked or a rust bucket, it seems a shame. Decent bodies are more rare than transmissions!

He actually wanted to put a 20 valve in it but his health was a limiting factor. As you know it isn't worth paying someone to do the work. It was a project that his nephew had left him with.

it can still be put back together stock, unless there was a lot of cutting and welding done to it. Not really a reason to scrap a good body.
