Adjustable inner CV axle seal installer

Post by xirdneh »

For installing seal in differential housing where CV axle goes
the FSM says to install to a depth of around .3" (i cannot remember the exact distance and i do not have the book handy)
if seal has been leaking and you are re-using the CV axle sometimes I change the depth that i set the seal so it rubs in a smoother part of the axle
with this installer you can adjust the depth by twisting the threaded part
i used a steel pipe for the threaded part but a black ABS part would work fine

pictures are in reverse order so start at bottom and go up

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
