Fresh Horses

Been a while since I checked in, thought I'd share. Terc II 3AC build pics. Ported/Polished and port matched head/intake/exhaust. New valve springs, re-grind cam from Delta-Cams (mild performance grind). Head shaved .040, engine bored .020 over (and fresh internals to go with it), balanced rotating ...

Re: Boise DMV Registering Terc II

yep, I've noticed that too. I don't find the Terc SR5 Buckets comfortable, but the SR5 Buckets in my 84' SR5 Pickup are AWESOME! I think it's the adjustable Lumbar, side, and legg bolsters that make all the difference... I'll most likely end up keeping the SR5 buckets in the car just to keep it all ...

Re: Boise DMV Registering Terc II

Yeah, I've done that before, most recently with an 84 SR5 4x4 Pickup I'm building, but I'm changing the color of the car (from gold to silver), and interior (from beige and brown to charcoal and blue), so swapping out my NON-Stinky interior is the way I'm going. I may keep the SR5 Buckets if nothing...

Re: Boise DMV Registering Terc II

it was the only car I could find to replace my 86 DLX. It has 210,000 miles on it, and was not cared for, not maintained, a crapped out smoker car with rust, mostly surface rust, but it does have some rot on the rear dog-leg @ front of the rear wheel wells... It's reasonably straight, fully optioned...

Re: Boise DMV Registering Terc II

Been thrashing on Terc II for the last few weeks, swapping all the new and/or lifetime warranty parts from my 86 DLX to the new (to me 86SR5) Thought I'd post a list of what's been going on so far, some of this stuff is already done, some still in the works. The Terc II List (so far): struts,shocks,...

Boise DMV Registering Terc II

Me: I need to register my new car, I'd like transfer my registration from my old car Girl at DMV: Ok, I need your license registration, bill of sale, did you pay cash? I need the title? (Pause for her to look at paperwork for transfer of 86 Terc DLX to 86 Terc SR5 Girl at DMV: "You got the same...

Re: Tercel Needed (the end of my 86DLX)

I scored my replacement Terc this weekend, found an 86 SR5 (6-speed) fully optioned w/sun roof. She's got 210,000 miles on her and needs pretty much everything, but I have plenty of new/good/lifetime warranty parts on my DLX that will transplant :-) Working on getting it road worthy this week, pics ...

Re: Tercel Needed (the end of my 86DLX)

I ordered a radiator as a replacement from my Local NAPA, the Lifetime Warranty replacement radiator they sell is Aluminum core with plastic tanks and fit nearly perfect (on one side I had to bend the hold down clamp about 1/4" to make good contact with the top tank). Unfortunately it was destr...

Re: Tercel Needed (the end of my 86DLX)

She pounded me good, and didn't even ask if I was ok or say sorry... The honda was about 2' closer to the camera, I was not quite centered on the left side of the Honda, my righ front corner was just to the right of the license plate on the honda. I was lucky to walk away from this, but very sad to ...
