Re: Dead Battery
You are right about making the wrong assumption. Whilst I was working on the brake I had the battery off the car. But I had to move the car out of the way later that day (using the hand brake as my only means of stopping the car) when I forgot the key in the ignition. It was only when I tried to rep...

Re: Reman BS!
Hi BaileySims - It will cost more than a $ to send me the $ prize as I'm located downunder. So have 1/4 pint of a beer on me for Christmas (I don't know what a pint costs in the US - I assume they are sold in pints overthere - here they are sold in pots, pony, schooner depending what states you are ...

Re: Dead Battery
I'm glad to report that it was definitely a voltage leak. Someone (namely myself) had been doing some work on the brake system (booster and master cylinder replacement due to a leaking mc). Since I'm waiting for a new mc, I haven't bothered to re-install the brake pedal spring yet. This resulted in ...

Re: Dead Battery
Definitely nothing was left on. This car has no radio, yet. Previous owner took it out before selling it. I will try to replicate it and see if the battery goes dead again.

Dead Battery
Recently I left my key in the ignition for about 24hrs in the accessory postion. The battery was completely dead when I next started the car. No accessory was on. Why would that be? Keep in mind it's summer here. So it's not the cold weather.

Same here, and I've replaced 3 on my 32 yr T4 and I didn't even follow a break in procedure.
Greeting
Merry Christmas to all forum members from one Downunder. Keep those Tercels and All Trac going.

3AC or 4AC
This weekend I adjusted the valves on my 3AC engine. As I didn't have a new valve cover gasket, I borrowed one from a fully reconditioned engine that I bought earlier last year. It was advertised as a Tercel engine and it definitely looks like one. But the valve cover is different from my 3AC's cove...

These bushings are readily available in Oz.
I will check the prices for comparison as I have it on my plan to replace all the undercarriage bushings on the Tercel I recently bought on ebay. If the prices are favourable I'll be happy to ship them in bulk to one of you guys to hrlp out.

Ok. For a minute there I thought you had to unplug the wiring prior to openining the bonnet.

Re: Headlight Relay Harness Upgrade
I don't quite understand your setup. The lights are monuted on the bumper bar, but the electrical wires go through the front of the bonnet. Is that right?

Re: Oops!
Glad your wife is ok. Would deflating the tyres, beforehand, prevent it from rolling when you get it up? Can you chock the wheels before lifting up? Sorry just making suggestions. It's hard to tell what the problem is when everything is covered in snow. How about waiting for the snow to melt - only ...
