Re: Polyurethane front suspension components??
A few years ago, I decided to replace all the rubber bushings on my 84 Tercel and I used Superpro throughout except the front Swaybar (they didn't have them for 21mm) and they are doing fine. I used Nolathane for the front sway bar. I've ordered the same for my 87 Tercel.

Re: Story time!
I've had the same problem as you with the PCV bushings and having to fish the broken pieces out of the valve cover on both my Tercels. I Also had to replace the hose on one and I did exactly what you did. One of my air filter mount is broken too and I'm about to modify a poly bush to replace it. Did...

Re: 86 fwd to 4wd conversion.
From memory, I think you will need both the instrument cluster and the surround /cover around it because the surround on the DLX model is different. I bought an SR5 cluster from a wrecker recently. He didn't send me the surround plus the idiot sent it in the post just bubble wrapped and it got broke...

Re: Idle Mixture Screw - 87 T4 SR5
Hi Mark, I managed to fix the idle speed issue by simply (1) backing off the accelerator cable at the carbie and (2) adjusting the high idle screw. I checked everything else on the carbie and I'm now wondering why I didn't think of these two first. On the bright side I've learned a lot about the Ais...

Re: Idle Mixture Screw - 87 T4 SR5
Mark - I did that on purpose to show where the idle mixture screw should be in the photo, otherwise that hose would've been in the way. I removed the AAP diapragm and it looked ok. I replaced it with one from another carburettor that I have from a 4AC engine and it didn't make any difference to the ...

Re: Idle Mixture Screw - 87 T4 SR5
Thanks Mark. My 83 Tercel has an idle mixture screw which is why I'm puzzled with this one. At first I thought I had a vacuum leak. I've replaced all the vacuum hoses. Checked that the carb is screwed down tight and even cleaned out the egr valve as it was completely blocked. I'll check the aux pump...

Idle Mixture Screw - 87 T4 SR5
My recently purchased 1987 T4 is idling very fast, around 1,500 rpm even when its warmed up. Adjusting the idle screw completely out doesn't make any difference. This Aisin carby appears to be missing an idle mixture screw which would be the second thing I would adjust. Has anybody else come across ...

Re: STOLLEN: 85 4wd manual camo print with thule cargo box
I'm just wondering if the car was still registered? In Oz, a car can sit on the street forever and no-one can touch it as long as it is registered and not illegally parked.

These seats look like the ones in my dlx Tercel, except for the stripes. Mine is made of cloth, not vinyl though

Re: Heater Lever
My blower stopped working a few years ago. I took it apart and found out that the motor brushes were worn. I got new brushes from an auto electric shop and solders them in. The blower is still working today. I remember it was a bit awkward getting the blower out. I've done the same with my alternator.
