It was full but I erased the junk folder so it should be okay now. I had someone at the parts store who I'm on good terms with show me a few brake rotors and try to help me find one that fits but it doesn't seem likely. The Corolla and MR2 rotors are all the same size and offset. Another idea I have...

I've been working on cleaning mine, I let it soak in a cheap solvent for a week and it made it a lot easier to get the carbon out. Mine was plugged on both sides pretty badly. If you have and air compressor it helps to blow out the carbon and the solvent, then you attack it with a pick or wire for a...

Thanks for the suggestion. I will start hunting one. I have to go to Chilton's or Haynes to even know what a TVSV does (or looks like). My generation gap is showing. My first car was a 54 Chevy two door hardtop with a 6 cylinder engine. I was 16 years old and I put a flathead V8 (and trannie and rea...

Thanks again. I have the equipment to make my own adapter plate, so I think I will start looking for a carburetor. Perhaps a carb off a 70's Toyota or Datsun 1500cc, something Pre-SaveThePlanet. Part of the motivation is the Tercel is hard to start when it is cold. I know what to do with an old-fash...

I had not thought of it, but protecting the CV Joints is a really good idea.

I once sheared off the pitman arm on a high-lifted FullsizeJeep! "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong"

Going to fetch the Tercel this weekend. (Motherinlaw's name for it was Pearl).
Ha!

Hello! If I've taken 190 M/h in a big hill it's because a think that european tercel have au shorter gearbox. To have this speed, you must accelerat a max in 4th in the hill, and put in 5th. I was at 4800TR/M a 180 (my counter stop a 180). My wife was with my IS200, and she tell my that have mange t...

Thanks guys, i will try looking at these things. I have called around for a used gearbox and man the cheapest one I could find was $350.00 seemed kinda steep to me! One guy wanted $1000.00 I told him no thanks, that is why I was going to pull it out and try to rebuild it...but if it is a simpler fix...
