Re: unhappy with 80w-90 gear oil

I am not the biggest fan of redline either and I feel people should be made aware that only one of their gear oils is safe for our transaxles.

Re: unhappy with 80w-90 gear oil

Redline MT-90 would be your best bet as it is designed for a fwd manual transmission requiring gear oil, if in doubt e-mail redline with your questions they usually get back in 2-3 days. If your lucky enough to still have an owners manual, it says in it to use a gl-4 or 5 oil (i guess gl3 was still...

Re: One month update

The only time I can see a full size spare being a real benefit, is when you need to change a tire AND need 4WD. I can see off roaders wanting that, but with typical use, a 13" spare should serve fine. As for a 14" spare, why not just find a steelie for the spare vs. the triangle wheel? Ch...

Re: One month update

Thanks for the valuable info guys. what size is your spare wheel? Is it still 13" to fit in the tyre well? I still have the original spare, I want a full size but I have had some trouble finding a mr2 triangle as a spare they are getting rare and expensive. A 195/70/14 will fit in the spare co...

Re: NOS Rear King springs for sale in Australia. $80 AUS good price

Set of king springs would be awesome. I know they make extended length coils, do they make them for the tercel, I like my barto lift but I am contemplating going to something shorter with the 20v going in.

Re: Another Seattle AL25 member

Did you figure out which size from marlin crawler you needed? I really like how sturdy they look in comparison to Toyota and I want a set.

Re: One month update

Timothy, for a while now I've been thinking of raising my car as well. I've got two 15" alloy rims already and I'm looking for another 2. I'm trying to work out what would be the biggest diameter tyre that will fit a Tercel without touching the fenders lock to lock. So your wheels diameters ar...

Re: One month update

NWMO, is that 100,000 miles in 3 months or did I read it wrong? Timothy, sorry to be pedantic. If you increase your wheel size from 13" to 14', your lift is only 1/2". That would be true if I only changed the rims, but sadly a 13" tires wont fit on 14" rims so I had the extra ex...

Re: One month update

Looking good. Love those mr2 triangle wheels. I put a set on my tercel, with some 195/70/14s, gives the car an extra inch in height, and it was day and night difference driving and in looks.

Looks good seems to take take pride in his work which is always a good indicator in my opinion.
Sucks it is an auto, but you could always swap in a manual when the auto dies.
