I think I would also first suspect a bad wheel bearing. If you have the CV's you should probably change those out too just in case it is the source of the problem. Cool. That looks just like the SST shown in the manual. He made it?! Wow! Impressive.

Mine was leaking in a similar manner but it ended up being the main crankshaft seal at the oil pump. Once I replaced it the leaking stopped. You could be having the same problem. It would be hard to detect because the timing cover conceals it.
