Waiting on header and new throttle cable to be put on tomorrow. Other than that it's solid! Oh and also have to extend the brake booster vacuum hose.

Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
So remember how I was talking about motor mount solutions? Got something worked out. After doing research I found some low profile, rounded Energy Suspension bushings that would give me what I need. They are roughly 2 3/4" round and 3/4" thick. Basically think of it as a polyurethane hocke...

Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
No, we had the factory exhaust on for pics. Spacer exhaust flange is getting put on tomorrow with new header and wrap. (turns out the clutch cable is VERY close to the exhaust and you need to keep the temps down as best as possible, and also for the sake of the alternator) I'll be using an eBay SS h...

Car starts and runs like a champ!
Swap is getting buttoned up this week so I'll probably have it back by this weekend.

Question for 4AG guys
For people that have swapped over to 4AG, how did you do your intake setup? Basically this is the idea I had because of the location of the washer fluid reservoir/coolant overflow. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y181/GotToyota/intake.jpg Might be able to do something more conventional, just very s...

I realize some of the posts make it seem like we are careless, but all of these considerations have been taken into account. And will moreso as it gets running.

Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
I don't really know, honestly. The car is at my friends house and I was there for almost 10 hours yesterday getting things patched up. The goal is to make it run first then we can focus on getting it buttoned up. I just know where we are at right now. With the parts we have, the time frame I'm tryin...

Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
Well, originally we had to shim the passenger side mount for hood clearance. Then we realized that the exhaust was going to be an issue as well. There IS some rubber where the original ones used to be, just not a lot compared to the original mounts.

Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
So some interesting turn of events. It's not ready (yet), but it's getting very close. We have fuel being delivered, running the fuel pump to a switched power. Just no spark. It might be an issue of where the ignition coil is grounded, going to tackle some more stuff this weekend and tackle some thi...
