Re: New(er) RV!
I've had good luck with Transtune before, but I will never, ever use stop leak as not only have I found they don't work but they often make the leak worse, or cause new ones!

Re: TBI / Fuel Injection Build
Yeah, it's interesting that the dude back in 2008, showed up, had a completed project, was talking about kits and vanished a week later!

Re: New(er) RV!
Wow, that's a big boy. How long is it? 24 feet long! Actually drives better than you'd think for that size. Though I had the "RV Driving Baptism of Fire" a year ago when we took our old one down to San Antonio! interior space is too valuable to waste on a shower stall that doesn't see muc...

New(er) RV!
So, we got tired of the 81 Coachmen's carburetor issues when trying to camp in the mountains, plus the sleeping arrangements were not up to par (we'll need to sleep 5, instead of 4, eventually). So we found a semi decent deal on a 1994 Jamboree Searcher, this time powered by a ford 7.5 460 engine, a...

Re: WTB: 3-port Distributor Vacuum Advance
Yes, the advance itself is likely causing the leak, just disconnect it completely, and plug the three lines, no need to cap the advance. The bottom two ports actually share the same diaphram! There should also be a check valve from the manifold -> advance so the HAC doesn't just suck air. DLB is cor...

Re: WTB: 3-port Distributor Vacuum Advance
Well yeah if they are ruptured there will be a major vacuum leak. So you'd want to cap off those lines while you wait. For what it is worth, I never found a good used vacuum advance through all of the Tercels I owned or the junkyard ones I pilfered. I snagged like 6-8 of the last new ones off rockau...

Re: Temp gauge malfunction
I'll look at your links tomorrow but the radiator I bought for one of my older tercels was a thick single core radiator but it was twice the thickness of the stock single core.

Re: WTB: 3-port Distributor Vacuum Advance
Yeah I think a one or two port would work just fine in your case. I did a lot of research and the only part you're really concerned about is the advancement of timing under load. Also the three Port I believe is so the HAC can tee into it. the one side is the advanced side and the other side of the ...

Re: 1981 Tercel Part Desperately Needed
Are you talking about the wiper blade or the wiper arm?
the arm is the metal part that pivots and the blade attaches to that.
PM me your ZIP code and I'll look around for other mechanics in your area.

Re: 1981 Tercel Part Desperately Needed
You should just buy the o-ring off of RockAuto and then you would be able to go to a mechanic and tell them that they need to take the distributor out replace that o-ring and put it back together and just make sure it's timed properly. Here is literally what they need to do Remove distributor cap Tu...
