Re: What kind of oil do you recommend?
Hey- No criticism, this is actually a more common misconception than some may think. We had a driver think a rag in his intake could make its way through his turbo, through the intake heater grid, through the valves, past the rings and plug his oil pickup all the while being fully intact. It's impos...

Re: General...? Sure!
Very worth it. At this point I have 10 nieces and nephews under 9 in addition to my babies. Aggravations abound however the good more than outweighs the bad by a wide margin. My daughter is incredibly spunky and sassy but she has her daddy's tender heart and she is so stinking smart. Little man is t...

Re: General...? Sure!
I'm sure I did but I've had 2 computers die in the interim and can't find anything. I'm glad any contribution I made would have any impact. I mean heck I think my first post was made back when I was trying to get the old 86 roadworthy for when I got my license. I've come a bit of a ways since then, ...

Re: Engine Flushing
Just to re-cover this... As a professional technician, I still would highly recommend a good flushing procedure at a regular interval. Sticky rings can be a big deal here, especially with "oops, I forgot to change my oil..... 6000 miles ago" or habitual short-tripping. To add to this, I'll...

That is great to hear!
Turned out well? Thanks! My wife might argue that from time to time though haha!
It's been an adventure. Having kids, owning a house, being married, all of that.. Wears on you but is greatly fulfilling too!

General...? Sure!
Hey all, just pining for my old girls... Saw a minty silver 84 on I-25 the other day and got a bit misty-eyed.... Yes I'm alive for all you older members, I've just been living the humdrum 1995 Camry life all these years... Not to say my soon-to-be 2 year old daughter, 7 month old son, and wonderful...

Don't get sick
Swine flu sucks.
Heh.
Nuff said... Bedridden for the last 5 days, including my Birthday. Woo-hoo!
But really. Try not to get it. Tons of vitamins, keep a healthy diet and keep active. Keep that immune system up!

85 Auto
Hey guys. Thinking about selling the 85 auto trans Terc. The engine was put in at 123,000 and it now has 127,000 and change on it. I'm the 2nd owner. Originally an east coast car, it does have some rust. Its not terrible and could be abated, and I did some abatement on it. Its covered in black spots...

Got mine from NAPA after blowing out the mounts in a mudding incident... Hit a rock in 2 feet of mud at 35MPH... Fun driving 20 miles home. A bit harrowing....

Re: Brake Up-grades
Sounds awesome! With the stock tire size, I could easily lock up all 4, but with the 205/55R15's it was very hard to lock them up, and you had to mash hard to get it to really stress the system. With vented rotors, I'd imagine my 112-0 stops would have been much easier, and not resulted in smoking p...

Re: Webery Goodness, A Compilation
I know this ones been a while, but..... The Corolla-Tercel 3AC's are slightly different from the later ones. They had a harder time cleaning them up, thus the extra emissions crap. If you can, find a good 4AC and swap it in, with a Weber. If you have the 2-door hatch or coupe, you'll cook rather wel...
