Would a rebuild be better that a used trans? If so, where would I find parts? I am definitely going to change mechani...

Re: Oil Pump Question
It happened again. I wasn't breaking this time but shifting from 3rd to neutral on a downhill. The RPMs dropped down to about 500 then bounced back up and the light went off. Come to think of it there may have been a correlation between the light coming on and downhills all along.

Oil Pump Question
Yesterday I noticed the oil light came on during a hard stop. Today it was flickering on more frequently. The dipstick showed the oil was down about a quart, if that. The last time my oil light came on, my dipstick was almost dry. Could the light coming on for the past couple of days be indicating t...

Re: Hi blow by
Changed PCV valve and added restore. Still an occasional popping noise from engine compartment that sounds like air escaping a gasket. Any ideas?

Re: Hi blow by
I have oil in my air filter can too. Fingers crossed that it's the PCV valve and not piston rings although I've got 220k miles.

Thanks Petros. The thermostat and radiator are brand new. I am having my mechanic replace the sensor to see if that is the issue.

Did you use wheel spacers? Do the tires rub when you turn or go over bumps?

Electrical Connector Question
Does anyone know what these wires are for? One is white with a black stripe and one is yellow with a red stripe. They are located behind the passenger side headlight and are not connected to anything. Would this be why my radiator fan runs constantly rather than as needed? If not why would that be? ...

This might be helpful. It shows stock 175/70 R13 vs 195/75 R14. I am still wondering how soon they would rub when turning.
