I may be new and ignorant but I find this kind of redundant -everywere you look about the tercel 4x4 system there is always warnings about using 4 wheel drive on dry pavement so --seems to me DON"T DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! duh!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what yours maybe but I do know on my jeep I had the same issue and I did the brakes and replaced the shocks all that stuff finally I just looked at everything and it wound up being a heat shield rubbing on the drive shaft so I just ripped it out (the heat shield) no more problem.
