Re: Another Seattle AL25 member

Just finished modding my spare flasher. So now I can finally install the LED's that have been bouncing around in my glove box for several months.

Re: flasher mod for LED bulbs

Thanks for the tip. Just finished modding my spare flasher just as you have instructed. So now I can finally install the LED's that have been bouncing around in my glove box for several months. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u513/nadiller/all-trac/E39CE6D0-7E54-4BF9-A23A-52F25C25CBA5.jpg

Re: Another Seattle AL25 member

Last weekend I replaced my 2x4 roof rack boards with some cedar that I cut to shape. Then yesterday I found a set of 17" Mini Cooper wheels with 205/45zr17 Potenza tires on them. So this morning I installed them. I'm going to load some gear in the back and drive around to make sure they clear, ...

Re: 'The Terrorcel'

Don't mean to revive your thread and stir up memories but I got myself some 17" Mini Cooper wheels and tires today and thanks to your report, they fit perfectly. Thank you!

Re: Front Drivers Side Window Regulator needed!!!

Some parts were kind of a pain, like removing the cover for the pinion crank. It was riveted on and I had to use a cold chisel to deform the rivets to remove it. Reshaping the teeth actually went pretty well though. I just wish I had paid more attention to the alignment of the rack and pinion gears ...

Re: Front Drivers Side Window Regulator needed!!!

Alright. Rack gear is looking much better now and has been welded and reshaped. I think it's going to work well. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u513/nadiller/all-trac/82AEEDA9-72A4-41DD-BE92-8FC0C880D655.jpg Now I need to fix the pinion gear axle bearing. So I welded the bearing hole up and dri...

Re: Front Drivers Side Window Regulator needed!!!

Yeah I was thinking of just cutting a new one, but I think welding on them will improve the wear characteristics of the teeth. So I'll give that a try, then reshape them. I might also see if I can find a brass bushing to install around the pinion shaft.

Re: Front Drivers Side Window Regulator needed!!!

Pulled the window regulator apart today to if it is salvageable and what it would need if it was. I started by cleaning it up. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u513/nadiller/all-trac/AD6DEB31-DCD7-43E4-91F2-90B491E1D034.jpg A lot more of the teeth were damaged that I originally thought. Under clo...

Re: Tercel Part blowout! EVERYTHING must go!

I'm still needing a good drivers side window regulator if anyone has one! 4wdEconobox - would you be interested in the drivers side window regulator I have if I repaired the worn teeth? I was thinking about building the material back up with weld. The supply of O.G. regulators is dwindling. I would...

Re: MY 83 WAGON PART OUT

Are the blue seats plaid? Do you have any SR-5 trim for the drivers door? Now that my door is painted I need to put some trim back on it.

Re: Another Seattle AL25 member

Yesterday I removed my front drivers side door and disassembled all of the window and latch components then prepped it for paint. I used the last of the pre mixed 884 rattle can that I ordered from Automotive Touch-Up. Then after letting it cure for 4 hours I re-installed all the components and care...

Re: Door hinge repair

I had to pull my door off this weekend to paint it (finally). And wanted to show that the hinge bolts can be removed without removing the fender.
