Re: No Heat / Luke warm inside cab
Follow your lower radiator hose to the engine block, where it meets will be a cover with two bolts holding it on, the thermostat is inside there.

Re: No Heat / Luke warm inside cab
So if you set it to "Cold" it is cool, and if you set it to Warm/Hot (on the dash) it is lukewarm? How is the airflow? Sounds like a possible plugged heater core, or maybe the thermostat is stuck open. The thermostat is an easy fix, I managed to replace mine as well with little past experi...

Re: Fuel Solenoid (which goes where) ???
Mine has the double wire on the driver's side, single wire on the passenger side. Take it with a grain of salt as the poor thing has been abused!

Re: Looking for a new Tercel!
Yeah I'm not going to actually be in the Tercel Wagon market for a while yet (unless something utterly amazing comes up). So when myself or my wife run into wagons while searching for 1st gen sedans/parts I'll just keep posting them

Re: Looking for a new Tercel!

I found this today: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3812824887.html and this: http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/3805691816.html (out by ABQ) I'm super interested in a 4WD Tercel now, especi...

Re: Radiator
So I took the Tercel over the mountains this weekend with two adults, the baby, carseat, and a full trunk of stuff (it was quite amazing packing that trunk) and light driving in say 65 degree weather had the temp near HOT. Even with me babying her. I was starting to think we'd need to turn around an...

Re: Radiator
The cap has been replaced, the thermostat has been replaced, I can get the car hot, take a temp gun, and a good three inches right under where the cap/inlet is shows 80 F and the rest of the radiator shows 150F.

Re: Radiator
Ah in that case I'll just look for a first gen rad, cause I don't really have the ability (skillz) to custom mount one!

Re: what factors affect how well a car coasts?
off topic but the first tank of gas in the f350 was 7.5 mpg. that was all city and moving many loads of hay but apparently it doesn't get much better. even on the highway, they're only rated at 12 mpg. sure doesn't help me see the appeal of driving a massive truck. Yes but you couldn't be hauling t...

Re: Radiator
dlb: I was more wondering for the sake of ebay, there was a post about "yeah I got a corolla rad to work, but it was larger" so I was wondering what to search by! For price comparison, is the double row from 4WD tercels, and I wonder if a double row would even fit in mine. It cooled fine u...

Radiator
Car is still running too close to the hot side for my comfort when going up a hill when it is 80 degrees out, I figure I should look at replacing my somewhat plugged radiator soon. Does anyone here have a spare radiator kicking around they would like to sell me? I have a manual transmission. Also I ...

Re: Old Gold Goes!
I'll take that dome light cover! Or actually, how much for the entire dome light assembly, assuming it's a rectangle and has a on/off/door switch. How about the manifold vacuum port? How's $10 for the dome lamp ass'y and $5 for the vacuum port (gas filter) sound- plus the ride (should be cheap.) Ho...

Haha, sometimes when trying to figure something out, it is easy to miss the obvious.

Re: Vacuum advance and ignition questions
So on the diagram, are those ports on the carb assuming you're looking at the carb from the top?
