Now that you have two, they may multiply! That looks like the best creampuff yet on the net. You're probably lucky it didn't go on ebay. It would have generated plenty of bids. I would be extra scared to take that one out in public. Double/triple parking at an angle on the far side of the lot, upwin...

Re: 1983 Toyota Tercel 4WD SR5 : Life in Pictures / Lost & Found: RESTORATION DOCUMENTED!

Incredible effort for an econobox! Undoing previous work is always fun. I have a saying- it's always easier when it's only as bad as the factory made it! I am NOT a body guy, but cutting a section of body off and reattaching it sounds like a crack head maneuver. Maybe it was just pre paint booth day...

Re: SYNTHDESIGN'S TERCEL STOLEN SEATTLE WA

Seats? Wow, like T4 seats can't be ID'd from a mile away..

Sounds like it could've been way worse. Apparently many car thieves are confounded be a manual trans. Hopefully it wasn't harmed.

Re: The beater's new shoes

Another incremental report. Got a inch last night. Knew I should have put the tires on yesterday, but I've had enough to do just shaking off a few years of cobwebs. There was moss on my bumpers! Pretty sure I had a stuck valve for a few minutes after first start in a long time. Anyway, got the tires...

Re: LSD Solution

Back in the 80's Hotrod magazine put just the block and springs in an open Ford 9 inch. The pressure on the side gears was enough to lock it up to smoke both back tires on a mustang. Hard to say about long term durability. Probably beats welded spiders gears!

Re: The beater's new shoes

Got a first impression on a customer car today. He saw mine waiting in the corner and said I want some! Going year round too as the car sees just a few thousand miles a year. 04 Buick Century with 41k.. Anyway, no traction testing. Just very impressed with how quiet and smooth they were all the way ...

Re: The beater's new shoes

OK, not exactly new. Just like the previous Arctic tires, they are rebadged Gislaved Nordfrosts. The new Generals are Nordfrost 100's. Older design? Yes. Still kick ass? Pretty sure. For unstudded ice tires there are better/more expensive choices. Blizzaks are butter soft at low temps, but wear quic...

Re: The beater's new shoes

I'm positive I will love them. Very popular as they are pretty much the best snow for the money. Money no object? Go Blizzak.. The wife got the old version last winter, and they performed great. Didn't take long until she got what I call "snow tire rage" at all the people rolling on all season tires...

Re: Dependable Engine Rebuild Kit

I'm leary of most "kits". Convenient, but quality can suffer. Careful cherry picking of individual parts can sometimes even be cheaper. In engine rebuild situations, saving money can be counter productive. Valve springs can be tested. If they are cheap, I would do them. Springs get weak after decade...

Re: The beater's new shoes

Just got some generic 5 spoke rims too. MR2 triangles are impossible to get caked in snow out from them!

The beater's new shoes

Finally putting snows on a T4. They are the new version of the proven General Altimax Arctic.

The low pressure switch usually goes open circuit when below pressure limit.
