3M makes a stronger spray adhesive called high strength 90 I would use that that instead of 77 spray

I would put a small shot of fresh oil down each spark plug hole. And pull valve cover to get every thing wet with oil there to. But others may have better advice, I have never had the pleasure starting an engine for the first time.

I have always loved to tinker on cars but thanks to this forum and ALL the guys willing take the time to share there knowledge,my understanding of vehicles in general is at another level. Even when these wonderful cars are gone and the forum disappears I will never forget t4wd.

I do not know the miles but i have installed both on one of my cars to see if i could improve fuel economy but I got the same mileage both carbs ran fine. I belive you said something in another thread that you bent the latch a little to get it to work. Try to adjust it with the grill off as petros said, you can see what's going on under there much better.

I don't know where you are located but my local pick&pull has a 2wd auto trans right now. kinda impossible to test if it is any good being an auto and all.
