when I got my 86 fwd wagon the pedal went hard to the floor so I used 5/8 flat washers ,cut a slot in them and pulled the cable out from the bell housing and dropped them on,,it took 5 to get the clutch pedal back to normal,run her over 100000 miles like that,,2 dollar fix

try this take a soldering gun and put a small dot of solder on the side of the bulb,,it is soft and will tighten the bulb in the socket making a good ground

I have used them in sockets,,if there that bad you unplug them and find somebody with a small glass bead or sand blaster cabinet that will clean them up inside

the seals were in the clear out stuff like 43 cents each

did you order a set of axle seals to? gonna pull the axles replace the seals

they are great I owned 3 of them 2 were auto 1 was 5 speed,,the 5 speed was like driving a race car compared to the autos

there is bearings to support the carrier same as the rear but the bore of the carrier is what supports the axle and it has no bearings,,that is what wore out on mine making the axle flop around

there is no outer bearing on the diff,,the cast carrier is what supports the axle,, I must of lucked when I swap mine the bearing shims on the one I was putting on were the same thickness as my old one and I blued the teeth and had perfect mesh

finished up swapping the front diff crown gear,,the vib/shake is now gone

o I have also replaced inner and outer tie rods,,both wheel bearings,, the sway bar bushings are tight,and ball joints,and both axles,,

i have the same problem,,i just put the strut spacers in and made it a little worse,,i found the front diff is wore in the carrier that supports the axle,, the bore is supposed to .985" mine on the drivers side is .992"-.998" being bigger out close to the seal,i have 3 other diffs that all measure ....

you can take the gear segment from a passengers side window and make it work on the drivers side,,have to drill out the spot welds and reweld it back on,, have to mark to carefully before taking the gear off to get it back in the right spot,,,have done it before and never bothered to take any pics

working good to,,went last nite for a run 60-70 miles shes tight on the road
