Re: Vacuum Advance Issue

greg, i posted one photo of the stock rear shoulder seat belts. it's the 5th pic down in this post http://tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=9426&hilit=project#p68414 it was a weird system because they were really just sort of an addition to the regular lap belt. IIRC, the lower end of...

Re: Rockin' Ron...all summer long

congrats, bud. i'm proud ron is in such loving hands. i frequently see his original owner who works at the post office and i always want to tell her where ron is now and how well cared for he is but i think it was "just a car" to her so she would think my gushing was weird. but anyway, i t...

SD, did you try your new tool on your house? i'm curious where you found the biggest heat losses.

Re: overheating woes

the coolant passages in the block might be covered in scale and sludge, which would prevent it from adequately transferring its heat to the coolant. if you have a water hammer-type tool, it's an easy thing to try.

Re: ISO SR5 Inclinometer

i just realized i should have also mentioned that the two styles are not interchangeable -- the angles of the dashboard is different in the two vehicles. i got a 4runner one for a friend with a first gen 4runner but before i gave it to him, i tested it to see if it would work in a tercel. although s...

ok, you talked me off the ledge. i'll learn to live with not camping on steep hills, and/or look into finding a replacement one day if it comes to that. thanks.

Re: ISO SR5 Inclinometer

just so you know togashi, the one in that pic is from a 4runner/pickup. the tercel inclinometers have a '4wd' icon that lights up when 4wd is engaged, rather than the altimeter.

Re: anyone ever recharge their rv fridge?

the camper is a '78. is there any chance the ammonia could have slowly leaked out or evaporated over time? i'm going to look at that link you posted, and on ammonia, but wanted to ask as well while i read up.

anyone ever recharge their rv fridge?

i'm doing some maintenance on our travel trailer and tested the fridge the other day. i couldn't get it to cool at all. tried different settings (propane/12v/110v) and different temps, no dice. the front of the trailer was raised up a bit so i lowered it till the trailer was level, and now the fridg...

Re: Larry's tercel gets a 20v Black Top

those look like 15" miata wheels. should be very nice when you get them mounted. i have similar wheels (except dull rather than shiny) on my ae95 with 195/60r15 on them and i really like them.

Re: slightly high/low idle once warm

i forgot to mention that i have a similar thread going over at the ae95 forum. one of the guys there is a pro mechanic who has access to the TIS (toyota information system) which is basically an online version of the FSMs. he said that my FP results are in line with what is in the TIS, and mentioned...
