Re: low quality pics of my beast.
the 3ac is all stock with 265k miles and it does ok, it could use more power but in el gear it feels like 1st with the little 13's. It still keeps up with highway traffic, speedo is off though. I pass people left and right when going 65. This car was not that fast with the 13s but the 14s did slow i...

low quality pics of my beast.
I used my phone to take some pics of my fully legal mini land rover. I finally put the P225-70R14 goodyear wranglers (i prefer BFG but I got these with 8k miles on them for 150$) It is lifted 1 1/2 inches from what it was, prob about 1/2 inch over stock due to weak springs (new springs will be comin...

Re: headlight conversion ... worth it?
ebay normally has the h4 conversion lights for $30 shipped if you search long enough. I will be upgrading to the h4 and hid's soon. The hid pulls 35w vs 55w. The bulbs most ebay kits come with are 90/100w bulbs. I have used them without burning up wires but maybe I'm just lucky. The advantages of HI...

Re: 4AGE swap into 85 4WD
I am planing on getting a small port "red top" 4age head and swapping it onto my current 3ac engine. I still have good compression numbers on my rings of course. The main advantage of the 4age is the efi and the higher flowing head. The paradise racing 4ac kit they used to offer did help b...

Re: What have you found in your car?
I found a receipt under the floor mat from Argentina. I can't remember what for, I still don't know if my Tercel traveled that far down in South America.

Re: I miss my T4WD
SHES BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo happy to finally be back behind the wheel of a mini tank. I installed my new rack and pinion, which I must say was extremely easy, out of the 5 racks I've installed in my life this was the quickest (30-45minute install time). I took her out off roading the ...

I miss my T4WD
It has been 2 weeks now I have been driving my 92 Paseo around and I can't stand it anymore. Its a great little car don't get me wrong, but its just no wagon. It doesn't have incredible space, a extra low gear.. and the headroom. I'm 6'0 tall so getting into the paseo without the sunroof open is not...

Re: rack and pinion replacement
nah as i said in my previous post the entire shaft turns with the wheel perfectly. Everything that you can see turns, just the wheels do not. I'm not happy because I normally have bad luck with the inner tie rod ends on old toyota's and i also normally having a hard time getting my big american hand...

Re: rack and pinion replacement
i dont want a power rack, I have absolutely no problems what so ever with manual steering, I actually prefer manual. I rather replace this rack with a rebuilt, new, I dont want a used unit. I would not mind taking mine apart and rebuilding it with oem toyota parts.

rack and pinion replacement
Well yesterday (1 day before the hurricane Ike hits) my rack and pinion went out in the worst way possible. I was at a fueling station maneuvering my small trailer and tercel into a tight spot when turning the steering wheel it "slipped". I turned the wheel and it made a clicking sound and...
