Re: Transmission Questions
I like Amsoil 75-90 Severe gear. I've had it in my terc since 170,00. It's got 220,000 on it now and going strong.

Thanks. And I don't think I'm gone forever. I'll get another one someday even if I have to rebuild it up from parts. Gotta love the terc.
Anyway here is the link to KSL classifieds where you can see the pics ect.

Selling my beauty 87 Tercel, Loaded with goodies
So I'm selling my beloved Tercel. I'm putting it out to you guys cuz I want her to go to a good home. So here is the low down. Bought the car a few years ago at 150k from a mechanic. He was the mechanic for the car for years. The owners of the car then decided to sell it so he bought it from the own...

New Weber, a bit of binding?, mileage info
Hello yall, the new weber has been doing great. I've done three tanks of mileage checks and it seems to get about 31 mpg as an average. I am pleased with this because with my stock carb I was getting at best 28. The only problem I've encountered is and it's only been this past week or so that it's d...

Re: Throttle cable, weber install question
I actually went with a K and N filter assembly, mostly because I was curious about the fit and I just like there filters. It fits great there is clearance although it is very close. It is larger in diameter than the weber and oval shaped, but it looks good and fits. I've got everything removed now, ...

Re: newbie possibly buying an '83
How much do they want for it. It would be ideal if you could get a hold of the original owner especially since carfax shows only one owner, a lot of key information, maintenance records ect. For example when I bought mine it had 170,000 and I purchased it from a mechanic who had actually bought it f...

Re: Throttle cable, weber install question
These vac diagrams are killing me it's like following a maze but it never seems to go anywhere and these lines break off and connect to each other, spagetti I say. :x I beleive I found the steel line, it's in a perfect location to use for the vac advance. Is it the line that is originally used to ru...

Re: Throttle cable, weber install question
I just went and looked at your weberiffic post and noticed the vac line coming out of the port on the weber {underneath the choke}. It appears it just sneaks around the back of the carb and over to the dist. Not sure where the steel line is that you reused? I know the lines come out of the dist and ...

Re: Throttle cable, weber install question
Alrighty I got the Weber on today finally. Just want to add the instructions for the throttle modification were great, as soon as I started to tear into it it all started to make sense. I actually took photos of the whole procedure in case somebody down the line has the same trouble. So I basically ...

Re: Throttle cable, weber install question
I think I've got most of this figured just want to go through it one more time to make sure I've got it correct. So I need to essentially get the throttle lever off the Toyota carb and cut it down making it flat {pieces to be cut are the extensions on the inside or carb side of the lever} I need to ...

Re: Turn signal trouble
I had problems with my turn signals and went to a local salvage yard and pulled the whole signal, lights, wiper assembly off an 83 terc plugged it into my 87 {apparently all tercs 4wd's are compatable} and was good as new. All you'd need is a steering wheel puller about 10 bucks and a screw driver. ...
