Re: 1985 Tercel 4WD 6spd Wagon 30 MPG - $1500 (Almo, KY)
Hey thats mine....lol! I was gonna post on here, just hadn't got around to it. This car has been in my family since 1987, but its time to part ways with her. She has been lots of fun (especially in the snow, which doesn't happen often enuff). I've had some lookers here locally, but would like to see...

Oops.... sorry guys. The buttons on my Droid are too Damn small ( and I didn't proofread very well either.). It was actually $23 for pulley and key. Thanks for back checking that pricing. Looks like my local dealer is priced about right.

Re: Lower Timing Gear Needed....
I might have one for you. I will have to look. do you need the key as well? Many not have that. Sounds good. Maybe you won't have too. I called Toyota today and the parts guy said they were good part numbers and ordered me the gear and keyway...all for $236....! Now we'll see if they actually come ...

Lower Timing Gear Needed....
Hello all... Well it appears Ive done something most noone has seen before. I'm hoping that someone has a 3AC in pieces that can spare the lower timing gear that goes on the crank.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks, Casey

Re: Timing Belt job
The keyway is fine. Is the gear still available? Ive looked but cant find it on toyotapartszone. The engine has had some runon issues after the key is off, I wonder if that contributed to the failure?

I havent taken the pulley off yet to deteremine the extent, Im hoping that the crank isnt hurt. I really think the gear is ...

Re: Timing Belt job
Goodyear makes a good product, but I have been running on my original timing belt tensioner (almost 300k miles), often the so-called OE replacement parts are not. I put in a new one once, had it start rattling in six months, so put back the factory one and still running on it. I would feel and spin ...
